Profile Self- Stick Resist 3000
|
| How it Works:
A revolutionary concept in self-stick resist films, SR3000 is NOT a "self-adhesive" product. That means there is NO adhesive to apply or over-wash, NO stubborn residue to clean up and NO complicated handling issues common with other "self-adhesive" products. An advanced version of SR2000, SR3000 has the same basic photopolymer properties with a new process that gives the surface layer an inherent tack once developed. SR3000 looks and feels exactly like pre-exposed SR2000. In other words, prior to development, you will feel no tack at all. Since SR3000 is not a "self-adhesive" film, there is no layer of adhesive to wash off. Simply wash it out. The film becomes tacky after wash out, but not gummy. Once dry you will detect a slight tack. Apply the film to your etching product as usual and blast. SR3000 will not come off until you want it too if you follow the process correctly. SR3000 is a repositionable self-stick film that will cling to any polished surfaces such as glass, granite, marble, ceramic and the like. 3 mil is designed to "push the envelope" in high resolution designs. Carvers desiring to achieve a deeper etch or multi-stage carving will be thrilled with the results of 5 mil. What's So Good About
Self-Stick?
Why is Self-Stick Better than
Self-Adhesive?
Cost: Prices typically range from 5-7 cents per square inch. Exposure Time: 25-35 seconds Room Lighting: No darkroom or yellow lighting needed. SR3000 photo resist film can be handled in white fluorescent lighting for approximately ten minutes without effecting the performance of the film. Avoid any room or area that has direct or indirect UV light such open windows or doors. Sun light will expose the film in a matter of seconds. Development: Standard washout times begin at 45-90 seconds, depending on the mil. Durability: SR3000 has unmatched blast resilient
properties superior to any photo resist in the industry. Blast high
resolution designs without the worry of pin hole blast through or
carrier release bubbling. Mils: SR3000 comes in 3,4 & 5 mil thicknesses. Requirements: To use SR3000 photo resist film, you will need a UV light source, film tool, pressurized washout unit (such as a Rayzistฎ Hand Washer or Automatic Washout Unit) and Plastic Burnisher. We strongly recommend our Wire Wheel Brush when using SR3000 Shelf Life: Conservatively, 14 months at room temperature. Material Chosen and Why: SR3000 photo resist film satisfies all needs for a self-stick film without the problems "self-adhesive" brands can bring. SR3000 renders unmatched detail for half-tone imaging and ultra high resolution images. SR3000 saves time and money by enabling you to produce a superior product with less hassle. * As reported in the Sand Carver's Advocate Volume 5, Number 4 - 20 |
