Subject: Pricing question

Hello April...Hi Regina,
I'm new to this (new?) chat area...
hope I can add some input from my own experience...
and participate in expanding the subject.
I've run a private decorative glass treatment
studio for twenty years here with some success.
I've Recently compleated four bathrooms (in one house)each
with three panel 10mm security plate glass shower stalls.
Overall size 200cm X 180cm two fixed one hinged.
The art work was relatively complex, total cover original
art nouveau style latice grids..my designs..hand vectored.
I charged around $1100 -$1200 each bathroom...
Glass manipulation of very large panels (my speciality it seems)
can be difficult and dangerous...workshop to site fitting etc.
and should be considered in the price...depth of blast and
pocket of client! rest for me is intuition which slowly becomes tuned
to your work.

BFN.. ...Rick DECORVIDRO (Madeira Island)

Rick , Thanks for the information... Since we are just starting...
Actually we haven't done our first piece since class... WE have all the
machines... And a huge compressor, 5hp that we are waiting for the
electrical to be done.... AND than we can start our firts piece. WE have
ordered glass from local companies and they are the ones that want us to
give them estimates for some work they want contracted out. And we have
no idea as to what we are doing.

We live in the Denver area and you'd figure that there would be more
people doing this.... Wrong. But thank you for information and we will
wing it for a while. We even build a mini blasting room...enough to do
one shower door or so...So we are ready to go and just waiting for the
electrical to be done and we are off and running. Yeah right....LOL we
will learn that is for sure...
