Subject: Availability of information (Was: Re: Digest Number 24).

Thanks for sharing that with us Roderick, also all the other excellent info
at the same location. No doubt this will clarify a lot of product and
technical issues.

However, if I can please make one suggestion about the availability of the
information;

Let's suppose a subscriber to the sandcarving list lives way out in the
jungle and pays per minute for an e-mail only connection (as in many parts
of the developing world). BTW, they *usually* have the option of two
connections; e-mail only or full internet, the latter being twice the cost
of the former.

A person with an e-mail only account can only view the pages you created by
requesting they be sent in small bits via a getweb server at one of the
universities around the planet. When the bits of the page arrive back,
sometimes 12 hours or so later, they put them back together for viewing. A
very expensive and time consuming process but that is how many people in
less well developed areas go on, be it to study sandcarving, control of
malaria or development of women's working groups.

None of the pages on the Rayzist site can be downloaded for viewing later
without a lot of messing about and they are therefore unavailable to someone
having less than a full internet account.

Can I please suggest your pages me made available as downloadable pdf's, as
is the product order form on the Rayzist site (so I know you can do it!).

My lifetime and business experience shows me that we should always consider
the weakest link in the chain. The suggestions above are purely for the
good and benefit of the less fortunate members of our global society that
have restricted access to information because of either financial or
infrastructural restrictions.

Thank you for your time and your consideration.

just Paul
