Custom Photomask: a premade, finished sandblasting stencil that is made out of a special material that doesn’t get damaged by sandblasting and is produced by exclusively at Rayzist Photomask.
The Custom Mask or Photomask service is perfect for many types of businesses or hobbyists. The service is convenient for businesses that are not set up to produce photoresist masks or when your business receives a large order. Our production department is equipped to process any quantity of masks in a little as four business days. The service is also suitable for large format masks. Rush services are available on all orders.
Rayzist has an in-house art department with qualified graphic artists. We can produce virtually any size mask from small to large format for use on glass, crystal, natural stone, monument stone, or any hard surface. Our Custom Mask service is cost effective starting at $0.12 per square inch. The service is easy to use: email or upload your artwork and we will send you finished sand carving masks, ready to use.
Artwork should be black and white vector format. Black = Blast in the artwork.
Files accepted are PDF, AI, CDR, EPS and TIFF
Note: CDR files must be created to curves and exported as an EPS file.
JPEG files are consider a low resolution image and will not have the best results. Our graphic artists can convert JPEG image to vector.
To place an order for our Custom Mask service simply click on the “Order” form and fill out the online order form. Attached artwork file in the “File” section. Note any special instructions online order form. Artwork should be in black and white vector format (black = blast). Files accepted are PDF, AI, EPS
CorelDraw Files: Convert all to text to curves and export as AI file.
Illustrator Files: Convert all files to outlines and save as AI file.
The price of Custom Mask is determine by the amount of square inches of the photomask. A 1/4″ border will be applied to the artwork for handling. Calculate the square inch by multiplying the height and width of the artwork image.

| Standard Production Timeline is four business days. Cut off is 11am (PT). Artwork and proof approvals received after 11am(PT) will start following business day. Artwork time includes converting JPEG/PNG images to vector, recreating artwork, typesetting, and or correcting artwork for the sandcarving process. Artwork time is calculated at $50 per hour and billed in 30 minute increments.
Artwork time must be approved by the customer to complete the work.
Rayzist does not accept orders containing nudity, profanity, occult or astrological symbols or other material that Rayzist reserves the right to deem as objectionable. Orders containing copyrighted or licensed material cannot be accepted without proper authorization. Rayzist, does not, under any circumstances, cover the replacement or cost of any product or personal property damaged as a result of using SR2000, SR3000, or Custom Mask.
