Day One

Images In Glass Introduction

In this workshop you will learn how to convert images into line screens, make your own photomasks with the Rayzist Letralite UV Exposure Light, application to glass, sandblasting images, inking and preparing to fuse at home. (you will create images on glass to take home and fuse)

Day Two

Images In Glass Fusing Workshop

The first day is described above and the second day (in the glass studio) will be building your three to four layered collage pieces, damming and putting in the big kiln to fire. The studio day will also include “fusing deep” firing schedules and a hands on demonstration of diamond saw cutting and wet grinding “cold-working” techniques to make beautiful finished edges. (they will be shipped to you via priority mail when cooled)

Workshops are in North County San Diego, at Susan Hirsch’s glass studio in San Marcos, CA.
